Steve Jewell has had a lifelong career playing composing and promoting jazz. Steve is a regular performer at many jazz festivals and conventions throughout Australia, as soloist, band leader and accompanist. George Gerontakos is an accomplished bassist, encompassing classical (Orpheus Strings), rock (Mandingo, Rock Revival) and jazz, including numerous studio sessions. Together, they are well known in the mountains as members of the Mountain Jazz Trio, along with drummer Frank Corby.
